Custom Labels – LOAD and SPAN Rating + Branded Barcode Label:
Metalworx is a UK manufacturer of trussing, modular aluminium structures and systems designed for stage shows, conferences, exhibitions and promotions.
Metalworx approached us in need of custom labels featuring company branding and heavy-duty properties. These labels would be applied to the smooth surface of Metalworx’s aluminium trussing. The label and its adhesive would need to be resistant to weathering and abrasion while providing long-term legibility with an additional QR code providing an informational reference point, and barcodes to be scanned for stock and data management.
REQUIREMENTS:
- A metallic, logo-branded, highly durable and weather-resistant label featuring multiple colours, that could be applied to a smooth aluminium surface. This was a “SPAN / LOAD” data rating label, providing length and load capacity for Metalworx products.
- An additional metallic, high-quality, heavy-duty label of the same construction, providing serialised barcode that could be scanned for outgoing stock management and QR code with website information within.
- Both labels would feature colour to make up the logo, and QR codes, containing product ratings and manufacturer information.
THE LABEL SOLUTION:
After sending some samples and discussing the requirements in great detail with Metalworx, we would recommend the following labelling material for both labels:
Both labels would be manufactured from RoMark’s “RML-47267UB”, which is a durable, ‘matt’ metalised polyester featuring Romark’s unique ‘ultra-bond, heavy-duty’ permanent solvent acrylic adhesive, ideal for both smooth and heavily textured metal or plastic surfaces. This construction would be perfect for labels and applications encountering abrasive environments and weathering.
CLOSING:
As with all our customers, we wanted to make sure Metalworx were absolutely happy with their label before moving into production.
